Term-limit resolution submitted to California State Bar Annual
Conventions of 1974, 1977, 1979, 1980, and 1981.

TEXT OF RESOLUTION:

RESOLVED that the State Bar urge Congress to debate the
desirability of the following amendment to the Constitution of the
United States:

TERM OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

Article II [THE PRESIDENT], Section 1, Paragraph 1, be
changed as follows:

Section 1. The executive Power shall be vested in a President of
the United States of America who shall hold office during the term
of six Years, be ineligible for a second Term, and, together with
the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected as
follows:
